Information used by the app

DriveWindow uses the locations, addresses, route, departure time, stops, and driving profile you select to calculate route weather. Location access is optional and is used when you choose your current position or enable a feature that needs it.

Saved trips, preferences, reminders, and route results are stored on your device. Calendar events and notifications are created only after you choose those features and grant the relevant iOS permission.

Feedback and support information

If you send feedback or a support request, we process your message and any email address you provide. The in-app form can also include app version, build, device model, iOS version, locale, a random feedback identifier, Premium status, and subscription-provider profile identifiers so we can diagnose and respond to the request.

Support information is retained only as reasonably necessary to resolve requests, protect the service, and meet legal obligations. You may request deletion through the support form.

Purchases and service providers

Apple processes App Store purchases and payment information. DriveWindow uses Adapty to retrieve product information and subscription status; we do not receive your full payment card details.

Route and weather requests may be processed by Apple MapKit and WeatherKit, Mapbox when backup routing is needed, official weather and road-data providers, and DriveWindow’s Cloudflare-hosted services. Their processing is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

Website and analytics

The website does not require an account. Cloudflare may process IP address, request, device, and security information to deliver and protect the site. The site records page and interaction events through a first-party analytics endpoint and may use configured analytics providers to understand aggregate usage and improve the service.

Do not enter sensitive personal information in the route preview or support form.

Sharing, tracking, and retention

When you choose Share Trip Link, DriveWindow creates a compact forecast snapshot containing the displayed origin and destination names, travel times, risk level, key reasons, and selected route-weather points. It does not include route coordinates. The snapshot is encoded in the URL fragment, which browsers do not send to the website server, but anyone who receives the link can view and forward its contents.

DriveWindow does not sell personal information and does not use IDFA for cross-app tracking. Information may be shared with service providers only to operate the app, process purchases, calculate routes and forecasts, deliver support, secure the service, or comply with law.

On-device information remains until you delete it or remove the app. Provider-side technical and support records are retained only for operational, security, support, and legal needs.

Your choices and contact

You can manage location, notification, and Calendar permissions in iOS Settings, delete saved trips in the app, and manage subscriptions through your Apple Account. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information.

For a privacy question or request, use Settings → Send Feedback in DriveWindow or the support form on this website and write “Privacy request” in your message. We may update this policy as the product or legal requirements change; the current version will remain available at this URL.
