Sources
Weather data and official road-information sources
DriveWindow separates forecast planning data from official road conditions. Forecast values help compare timing; government road sources remain the authority for closures and restrictions.

Website data boundary
DriveWindow website pages do not call a live weather provider. Route pages contain static editorial guidance and representative corridor locations. A current, personalized route forecast is calculated only inside the DriveWindow app after the user chooses a travel date and departure window.
Official road authorities
Route pages link directly to the relevant state, provincial, or national road authority. Depending on the route, examples include 511 systems, transportation departments, DriveTexas, Caltrans QuickMap, Ontario 511, Quebec 511, and DriveBC.

Source and update policy
Static route guidance changes when corridor research, source links, or product methodology changes. The website does not present its planning baselines as current weather or verified road conditions. Official road authorities remain the source for closures and restrictions.
